The Old Stables, Covid 19 – Information for Guests

March 2021

We have been working hard to ensure you have a safe and happy stay with us. There are some changes to the way we operate and this is a summary of what we are doing to protect you and in turn what we are asking of you to help us during this uncertain time.

You may check in from 4pm to allow us to undertake the strict cleaning regime now required. We will continue to welcome you on arrival in the courtyard in front of the House. It is therefore important that you let us know what time you plan to arrive at The Old Stables at Manor Farm House; you can do this by texting or phoning 07985 437039, 01664 454468 or by email.  Please park in the area in front of the stables.

We need to keep a record of all names and addresses of all guests for track and trace purposes so you will be asked to complete a form for all members of your party and/or for you to use the QR App. The forms will be destroyed within 4 weeks of your visit in line with government advice.

Cleaning Procedures

We have instigated a strict cleaning regime that will include deep cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces. A cleaning checklist of work undertaken will be available if you wish to see it. There is a welcome book in your room in which all pages are laminated and cleaned between visits. All paper and information leaflets will be replaced between guest visits. There are quite a number of books and games in the stables. It is up to our guests whether you want to browse through them, but we advise washing your hands or using the hand sanitizer provided.  All our linen is outsourced to a laundry who launder at high temperatures (60 degrees) and have their own processes in place to ensure strict hygiene. We will be laundering all linen including mattress and pillow protectors. We have removed all throws for the time being and apologise if the beds do not look as pretty as usual!

During Your Stay

If your stay includes breakfast, and Government rules allow, we will set up a table outside in the garden if the weather is suitable but otherwise in the stable kitchen, or, depending on number and combination of guests, our sunroom in the house. Please maintain a safe 2m distance from other guests and our staff.  Please wash your hands often, especially after touching hard surfaces such as communal doors.

What we ask of you

Please let us know as soon as possible if any of your party becomes unwell either before or during your stay. Please use your common-sense regarding health and hygiene. We have plenty of soap, hand sanitizer but perhaps suggest you bring your own favourite shampoos, shower gels etc. Please be aware that as we come out of lockdown our local communities will still be wary of welcoming visitors. Many local businesses however, are very keen for your business.  We can let you know the places that have opened.

When You leave

Checkout is 10 am – please adhere to this time as your room must be left for 3 hours before our cleaning team is safe to come in. Please open the windows in your room if possible, to air your room as much as possible. Please make sure all rubbish is put in separate rubbish bags for recycling; white for recycling and black for anything else and leave outside the stable door. If booking directly with us we will be using BACS payment for transactions prior to your visit – cash only if unable to access BACS. If you become unwell within 14 days of your stay, please contact us as soon as possible.

Thank you for your help and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
